Elise Teiller is an artist who mainly works in collage.
She collects images and save them meticulously, then she places them side by side, manipulates them until the evidence emerges.
There is a large part left to chance in her collages. From each association between several images arises an infinity of possible stories to tell. Cutting, isolating, assembling, recomposing, these are all actions that allow her to engage in a dreamlike dialogue with reality.
As it is easier to play with the tension between reality and fiction, collage is her favorite means of expression. Like photographs, Elise thinks of collages as images testifying to real or imagined moments.
