I have always been creating images (drawings, graphics, photography …), I have this desire for nature, this need to create tangible objects.
To feel the material, slow down time and be present. Ugbu, from “ugbu a”, translation in Igbo (Nigeria) of “in the present, now, in this moment”.
I like to play with the texture of sandstone, sometimes leaving the imprint of my fingers on it.
Using primitive modeling gestures, I create irregular shapes by letting my intuition guide me. Each piece is slowly molded by hand and cooked in my workshop in Nantes – France.
